Warranty & Equipment Condition
Sound Pro Tech supplies new and used professional audio equipment, including speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers, mixing consoles and complete sound systems. This page explains equipment condition, inspection and warranty support.
1. Equipment Descriptions
Each product listing or written quotation identifies whether equipment is new, used or refurbished, where applicable.
Descriptions should be read alongside the photographs, specifications and list of included accessories. If you need clarification about a product’s condition, compatibility or features, please contact us before ordering.
Equipment is not described as refurbished unless it has undergone an appropriate refurbishment process.
2. Used Equipment
Used equipment may show signs of previous handling, transport and professional use, including scratches, scuffs, paint wear or marks from mounting and installation.
The extent of cosmetic wear varies between units. Significant known damage, missing components and operational faults will be identified in the listing or communicated before purchase.
A description such as “good working condition” refers to the equipment’s operating condition at the time of assessment. It does not mean that used equipment is cosmetically identical to a new product.
Used condition does not remove any applicable statutory guarantees.
3. Inspection and Testing
Inspection and testing details for a particular item are available on request. Any statement that equipment has been tested applies to the checks actually performed.
Unless expressly stated, testing does not mean that every internal component has been dismantled, replaced or assessed for its remaining service life.
If your purchase depends on a particular function, connection, software version or system configuration, please discuss it with us before ordering.
4. Included Accessories
Only accessories listed in the product description, quotation or order confirmation are included.
Please confirm whether your purchase includes items such as:
* Power cords and connection cables.
* Flight cases, covers or transport dollies.
* Rigging frames, mounting hardware and pins.
* Controllers, software licences or optional expansion cards.
An accessory shown in a general product photograph is not automatically included unless it forms part of the agreed sale.
5. Installation and Safe Use
Equipment must be operated with suitable power supplies, compatible components and appropriate settings, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Installation, electrical work and suspended speaker rigging should be undertaken by appropriately qualified personnel. Purchasing used rigging hardware does not replace any inspection or certification required for its intended use.
Damage caused after delivery by misuse, unsuitable power, liquid exposure, impact, incorrect installation or unauthorised modifications is not automatically covered. This does not exclude a valid claim relating to an existing defect.
6. Consumer Legal Guarantees
Where French consumer law applies, customers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity and the legal guarantee against hidden defects.
Consumers have two years from delivery to exercise their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity for both new and used goods. For used goods, defects appearing during the first 12 months are generally presumed to have existed at delivery, unless proved otherwise.
Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include repair, replacement, a price reduction or cancellation of the sale under the conditions established by law. Qualifying remedies are provided without charge.
Normal wear, accidental damage and faults arising solely from misuse are distinct from defects covered by legal guarantees. A product’s age or used status alone does not justify refusing a valid claim.
7. Additional Commercial or Manufacturer Warranties
Any additional Sound Pro Tech commercial warranty will be expressly identified in the written offer, with its duration, coverage, exclusions and claim procedure.
Manufacturer warranty coverage is included only where confirmed for the particular item. Its availability may depend on the product, purchase date, territory and transferability rules.
An additional commercial or manufacturer warranty does not replace or shorten applicable statutory rights. Expiry of an additional warranty does not automatically end those rights.
8. Reporting a Problem
If you experience a fault, stop using the equipment where continued operation could cause damage or create a safety risk.
Contact us with:
* Your name and order or invoice number.
* The product model and serial number, if available.
* A description of the problem and when it began.
* Photographs or a short video, where useful and safe to provide.
Please contact us before arranging a third-party repair so we can assess the issue and discuss the appropriate next steps. We will explain any return arrangements and applicable costs before proceeding.
9. Professional Purchases
For purchases made for business or professional purposes, warranty arrangements are those agreed in the quotation, invoice or sales terms, together with applicable law.
Please request written confirmation of any coverage important to your purchase.
